Flat Screen TV Guide - Cloudy Navimage

'Allo tosh'
check out a
Toshiba LCD TV!

A friend had just bought the 32WLT58 Toshiba LCD TV so I scampered round to have a look at it.

Being a 32 inch screen the 32WLT58 was at the bottom of my preferred size range, but after all, I was looking for a Flat Screen TV that passed all my stipulations so I treated it like any other TV (tactfully of course) so as not to upset my friend.

Connections:

2x HDMI in; Component Video in; PC in; S-Video in; 3x Scart (2x RGB); Composite Video in; Headphone jack; Stereo Audio out; Subwoofer out RF Jack and a CAM Slot.

The first thing to grab me was the simplicity of the Toshiba LCD TV remote control and all the other usual controls, no close up scrutinizing with instruction manual needed here, everything was ...simple!

Features:

Digital tuner; Active Vision processing; Nicam sound + SRS WOW bass boost; Progressive scan; DNR; Text and EPG.

A screen test using the 32WLT58's digital tuner revealed good colours and detail with only slight picture gauziness, but then, all low quality broadcasts look iffy on LCD TVs.

We then switched to my high definition test media, the fine detail held fast and the colours were vibrant or vivid whenever asked for, blacks were solid with good variable depths and superb contrast.
Sources fed to the Toshiba LCD TV via RGB Scart were quite acceptable thanks to the Toshiba's Active Vision picture processing feature.

The 32WLT58's sound handled film soundtracks and music very well but of course!... Would sound better hooked up to a 5.1 setup.

This Toshiba LCD TV is very decently priced and has all the features you could want.
