Samsung LCD TV
choose the right one first time!
Samsung LCD TV comes in many sizes but the LE-32R41BD Samsung LCD caught my eye as it's pretty cheap but offers a lot for its price.
AT 32 inches the LE-32R41BD is quite moderate but is equiped with many features which include a digital tunner (with digital teletext backup) and freeview support.
Connections:
HDMI in, Component Video in, 15 pin D-Sub PC in, S-Video in, 2x Scart (1 RGB), Composite Video in, Headphone jack, Stereo Audio in, RF Jack and a CAM Slot.
My test media showed good blacks and fine colours with good detail upheld in busy scenes, there was no 'smearing' and no sign of graining.
I found the sound to be well managed but of course it would sound great hooked up to a surround sound set up.
Liking what I had seen I looked at the LE40R51B Samsung flat screen TV (the big one!), like its siblings it has very stylish looks with a black gloss screen surround and sillver triangular underside.
Connections:
two Scarts, component video inputs and a HDMI input, there is no digital tuner in Samsungs 40 inch LCD range so none of the digital freeview stuff.
With the Samsung LCD TV range you get Samsungs DNIe picture processing which puts you in control of your pictures fine details; colour, contrast and motion handling also picture in picture and noise reduction.
I found the colours great with natural tones and full hues had a brilliant vibrancy, the blacks are average but quite adequate.
Like its sibling the LE40R51B's sound would be better hooked up to a surround sound set up.
Overall I found
Samsung LCD TV
to be very good, especially as their so affordable!
