I opted for a
Panasonic 42 inch plasma TV...
(in one room!)

My upgrade from the 'Slimfit' was a new Panasonic 42 inch plasma TV the TH42PZ700.

Eversince I first saw the Sky HD advert with a 'Viera' flat screen TV I wanted one!

Panasonic's PZ700 series is one of the best plasmas I have viewed, mine only has 2 HDMI connections at the rear but a HDMI switcher will sort that if needed.

This Panasonic 42 inch plasma TV tested extremely well for picture quality, sound and functions straight out its box, it only needed a brief calibration that took all of 5 minuets!

The PZ700 has many features some of which are:

VGA-style PC input (1280x1024 maximum resolution), a pair of component-video inputs, two AV inputs with composite and S-video, an RF-style antenna input, and an optical digital output for the ATSC tuner.

A panel on the front flips up to reveal controls and another AV input with composite and S-video, while a second panel hides a slot for SD, SDHC, and mini SD (adapter required) cards, allowing you to display JPEG digital photos on the big screen.

I am extremely happy with my PZ700 and only after tight testing did some minor colour discrepancies show!

All in all, the PZ700 Panasonic 42 inch plasma TV is an excellent flat screen TV and well worth getting if your looking for a 42 inch flat screen TV!
