This Akai LCD TV is definitely a CRT killer
When I was.. "ahem".. a little younger, having a Akai LCD TV was cool because they made wicked stereo equipment, so when I arranged to view the non..NON! HD LM-H30CJSA
Akai LCD TV, I was looking forward to hearing a good TV and hopefully seeing one especially since it cost under 800 squid!
Connections:
1x RGB Scart; Composite video in; S-Video in; Component Video in; D-Sub 15 pin PC in; Stereo Audio outs and a headphone socket.
Features:
Few, but.. Analogue Tuner; APS; Child Lock; Teletext; PC PIP; Double screen and various picture settings.
The LM-H30CJSA is not HD ready but for anyone not bothered by that and just want better pictures than normal TV sets this LCD TV will do just fine, besides, you can receive progressive scan through the component video inputs.
The APS (automatic programing system) is basic and simple which is more than I can say of the remote control which I found a bit fiddly. The LM-H30CJSA's picture was bright and its colours held surprisingly well considering its cost.
Alas, the sound was nothing but average, speakers are side mounted and with a grey fascia this
Akai LCD TV
looks and performs well for its price.
More Akai reviews coming soon!
